LAKE SUPERIOR SNOWFALL

Early morning snow -
fresh flakes fall gently,
knitting networks
of lace.

Jewel-fluff blankets.

A slightest puff
would pilfer their
myriad connections.

Afar off,
other snowflakes
melt seamlessly into
the immense, leaden lake.

In the quiet
stillness,
a raven
calls.
